<\/a><\/p>\nWelcome ladies to April 2023 update<\/strong><\/p>\n Welcome back ladies to the 2023 season of Women\u2019s Vets. Again, a large field for our opening day followed by the traditional scones and jam.<\/p>\n We need to welcome the new members to our committee. Jenny Holloway our new Secretary, Denise Latif, Treasurer, Welfare Officer, Anne- Marie Ferry and Committee Member Jeannie Peake.<\/p>\n \u00a0Sincere thanks must go to the outgoing members of Maree Beecroft and Margaret Perkins<\/p>\n \u00a0for their help, dedication and hard work over the past years as committee members.<\/p>\n Fees<\/strong><\/p>\n A reminder that Vets fees of $5 are payable to Denise and that you are not eligible for prizes if not financial. The fees are payable from Dec to Dec (AGM -AGM)<\/p>\n This year we will be awarding an end of year prize for any Birdies as well as Gobblers. The book is in the computer room and it is your responsibility to have it filled in and co-signed as it does not record on Mi Score.<\/u><\/p>\n MiScore APP<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n Thank you to all the ladies who have embraced the MiScore APP. It is truly pleasing. Not without its teething problems but thankfully most problems can be corrected. Be assured that there is no compulsion to use the APP, particularly for those who do not have a phone to cope with the APP. Cards are still available.<\/p>\n NSWVWGA<\/strong><\/p>\n The last week of February saw the NSWVWGA two day Vet Tournament hosted by Port Macquarie Golf Club. It was indeed a great way to showcase this wonderful course of ours and there was nothing but praise from our visitors. Thanks must go to Steve and the ground staff for the way the course was presented. Thanks also must go to Di Collicott, Lyn Somers our sponsor Fran Scutts and all the Women\u2019s, Veteran and Social committee members and volunteers involved in ensuring that the tournament was such a success.<\/p>\n Rule Changes<\/strong><\/p>\n There is a notice on the notice board advising of the rule changes which took place at the beginning of the year.<\/p>\n Course changes<\/strong><\/p>\n Course changes were to come in to effect from the 3rd<\/sup> April but has been postponed.<\/p>\n Simply put the course will be reversed.<\/p>\n The current front 9<\/strong> will become the back 9<\/strong> finishing at the present 9th green (18)<\/p>\n The back 9<\/strong> will become the front 9<\/strong> but will start on the current 12hole<\/strong> (1) and finish on the current 11th<\/sup> hole (9)<\/p>\n \u00a0MiScore will have the changes uploaded. There may be a time before GPS s and other distance measuring devices will be updated however the App will still show to the middle of the green.<\/p>\n Anne Coutts Sponsor Day<\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0Originally scheduled to be held on the 4th<\/sup> April was unfortunately postponed due to rain and<\/p>\n was held on the following week.
