2025-2026 Membership Renewals
Dear Members,
As we approach the new financial year, we would like to inform you of some important updates regarding your membership.
Invoices via Email:
Invoices will now be emailed to members instead of being posted to your address. We ask that members please ensure that their email address is up to date to avoid any disruptions in communication. If you need to make changes to your email address, please call 6582 0409 or email reception@portgc.com.au.
NSW Vets Fee:
This year, the club is pleased to cover the cost of your NSW Veterans Fee for women aged 50+ and men aged 55+, included as part of your membership.
Direct Debit Fee Increase:
For those who opt into paying their membership via our monthly payment plan, the direct debit fee will increase from $6 per month to $10 per month. Previously the fee was taken within the member’s first instalment, it will now be split over the 12 months.
Members who wish to utilise our monthly membership plan for the upcoming financial year must complete a 2025-2026 Direct Debit Agreement. You may obtain a copy from reception or may download one from our website (under Board & Governance).
Please return the completed form to reception no later than 30th June 2025.
New Golf Categories:
As of 1st July 2025, we are implementing two new golf membership categories, namely:
Restricted Playing
Includes daily access to social play, outside of competition times. Plus the following competition days:
Women – Tuesday* Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday
*Ages 50+ Eligible for Tuesday Veterans Competition
Men – Tuesday* Thursday, Friday, and Sunday
*Ages 55+ Eligible for Tuesday Veterans Competition
This membership has a joining fee of $500.00, unless the applicant is already a Full Playing member or can provide proof of having previously paid the fee.
5-Day Social Playing Membership
– 5-day access to social play Monday through to Friday, outside of competition times
– Eligible for competition play at members guest rate by invitation of a Full Playing member or Restricted Playing member only.
We hope that implementing these new categories will offer greater flexibility to your golfing experience at Port Macquarie Golf Club!
Bringing your own cart onto the course:
Due to the withdrawal of insurance coverage by Golf Australia, effective 1st July 2025, private carts and bikes are only permitted on the course if the member holds a valid annual permit. To obtain or renew a permit, members must provide proof of current cart insurance. Failure to meet these requirements will result in your cart or bike permit being denied. Alternatively, members are welcome to hire out the Club’s golf carts which are insured.
Membership Fee Increase:
To ensure the continued improvement and development of the Course and Clubhouse, the Board of Directors and Management have made the decision to increase membership category fees & visitor golf fees. These adjustments are essential to support future investment in both Course and Clubhouse facilities. We would like to highlight that that member green fees for competitions and social golf will remain unchanged.
The club recognises the significance of fee increases and understands the impact they may have on our members. However, these changes have been driven by significant increases in the club’s operational costs. Electricity expenses alone are set to rise by over 30% monthly, with the energy charges component increasing by more than 100% under the best available new plan. Additional cost pressures include insurance (up 8%), workers compensation (up 10%), and various software support services (up 7–12%). Clubhouse repairs and maintenance, as well as security and fire safety costs, have increased by 33% and 30% respectively over the past year. On the course, the cost of herbicides, pesticides, and fertilisers has risen by 22%.
With ageing premises and a course that requires ongoing investment to maintain high standards, these fee increases—above general inflation—are necessary to ensure the club continues to improve member facilities and overall experience.
