‘COARSE CLIPPINGS – Feb/March 2026
Hi everyone just a brief update of what is happening on our course since prior to Xmas !
The new Hole 7 was opened on 9/2/26 and used in competition the following day !
By all reports most members agree it looks and plays great !
- GREENS
- As you are probably aware there has been a lot of repairing to the greens on Holes 10,11,12,13
and 14 ! - During the last week Steve Brennan and his staff acquired some bent grass from Pennant Hills
GC in Sydney as they are doing renovations to their greens. - This was cut, stacked on pallets and transported to Port Macquarie to repair some areas on our
greens. - This also included the temporary on RHS of hole 3 !
- TEES
- Work has also commenced on new tee areas being levelled and filled Hole 17 (purple) and Hole
2 (men’s) adjacent to existing tee! - Also turfing of rear areas of Holes 12 and 15 with grass from our nursery area near the driving
range ! - OTHER PROPOSED WORKS
- Area behind tee on Hole 11 and adjacent to the 10th fairway, where trees were removed after
the storms in 2025. - This will be turfed from the nursery as well
- Old coppers logs on Hole 8 tee (men’s) will be removed and a low more aesthetic retaining wall
installed - The new temporary green on Hole 3 after storm damage to the surface will be turfed with grass
off our other nursery area on Hole 6! - Lastly Course Renovations are scheduled for Monday 9/3/26 through to Wednesday
11/3/26! - The course will be Closed during these works !
