‘COARSE CLIPPINGS ‘ Dec 2025

Its been awhile since my last edition of what’s going on at our Course!

There have been many changes, improvements and weather conditions that have prevailed throughout 2025.

Here are a couple of notable ones that you may be or not be aware of :

Hole 7 nears completion and ready to play after it’s official opening on 2 February, 2025

This has been a near record year for rainfall with some 2.5 metres of water falling up to now on our course!

At the moment we are experiencing very hot and dry conditions and our bore pump that fills our irrigation dam is again out of action due to unforeseen circumstances but should be back filling the dam to keep up with night usage on greens

Nearly all of the other dams are low as well following water being transferred to the main dam and the high level of evaporation. We could certainly use a little rain ! From one extreme to the other!

A concrete slab has been finished adjacent to the Tee on Hole 1, this will accommodate the new practice nets which will be erected soon

Maintenance work continues around the course with tree pruning, fairway mowing changes and sprinkler head clearing

As previously mentioned in reports by the Captain, the new temporary green on Hole 3 is well under way and has been sprigged with ‘Tiff Eagle’ Couch

I hope this has answered a few questions that have been asked around the Club and please don’t hesitate to contact me if I’ve missed something.

Wishing everyone a safe and Merry Christmas!
