2025 Foursomes May 17

The timesheet for the 2025 MG 4Somes Championship opens tonight, Sunday May 4 at 5pm. Only the 4Somes slots will open. For those not wishing to play in this Event, the Stableford timeslots will open as usual 6 days out at 5pm.

Port Macquarie Golf Club are the LNC Divisional Champions in Divisions 1, 2, 3 & 4.
Going into yesterday Sunday the PMGC had won the Lower North Coast Golf ⛳️ Champions in Divisions 3 & 4, Divisions 1 and 2 had to win yesterday to join Divisions 3 & 4 as Champions and win they did.
Port Division 1 A took on Port B and recorded a 5-1 win at Tuncurry, congratulations to the Port 1A captain Terry Davis on the win.
The Port A 6 players was Josh Main, Matt Sadd, David Bagust, Robbie Miller, James Bodycote and Terry Davis, that was a pretty hot pennant team.
The Port B side was Richard Went, David Weatherley, Josh Hyde, Rohan Hyde, Tim White and Nick Maguire, Tim White was the Captain, he filled in for Glen Hoad and he recorded the teams only win over James Bodycote at the 18th hole.
At Tallwoods our Division 2 team had to walk as carts were off and they accounted for Foster Tuncurry 6-0, well done to Captain Jason Bowman and his team.
The 2s team was Rob Pengilly, Anthony Shipway, Will Coombes, Billy Gleeson, Peter Gleeson and Nick Ratcliffe.

On Thursday November 21st the Men Golfers sponsor was “Get Plastered” Dale Hyde, thanks Dale for the Sponsorship.

The A Grade winner on the day David Lacey, Lacey played off 9, shot 2 over for 43 stableford points, that was a nice round of golf David.

The B Grade winner was Nathan Cotterill who had a fantastic 45 stableford points playing off a handicap of 19, that was a sensational round of golf Nathan, well played.

The C Grade winner played off a handicap of 20 and had 41 points, congratulations Brian Cheetham well played.

The scratch winner was Stefan Walker with 36 points off a handicap of 2.

The 2BBB winners were Michael Cusato and Mathew Cutcliffe with 48 points on a count back, congratulations.

The runners up in the 2bbb were Dane Watson and Nathan Cotterill with 48 points.

To win a ball you needed 34 points on a count back.

BAGUST and VERDON WIN FOURSOMES CHAMPIONSHIP

David Bagust and Lindsay Verdon defeated Rowan Cooper and Evan Berger at the 1st playoff hole to win the Men’s Club and A Grade Foursome Championship after they were all tied up at (111) after the 27 holes, Steve McCarthy and Steve Manton were 3rd with (117).

In B Grade the winners were Chris Dixon and Greg Clark (132), Bruce Heath and Michael Swift finished 2nd (135) with Dave Harris and David Tydd 3rd (137)

Ian Mitford and David Brimble won C Grade (150) from James Farr and Ed Williams (153), 3rd was Gary Fazio and Rod Sharples (163)

The Nett Winners were Steve Manton and Steve McCarthy (105) from Darren Eather and Ben Hyde (105.5), 3rd was Chris Dixon and Greg Clark (106)

PORT MACQUARIE Win SHIELD 17-10 over BEVERLEY PARK

Port Macquarie has retained the Port Macquarie/Beverley Park shield with a recent 9-5 win over Beverley Park at Beverley Park, that win saw Port Macquarie retain the shield 17-10 for the 2 game series.

The Saturday 4bbb winners were Mathew Cutcliffe and Glenn Pollard with 47 stableford points, Graham Cutcliffe Mark McGuire were 2nd with 46 points while Steve Manton and Les Murphy had 45 points to hang on to 3rd spot

For Beverley Park their 4bbb winners were Rick Bonham and Tim Whitley 45 points, they also won the Dennis McNamara Memorial Trophy as the Biggest Margin winners, they toppled Neil Stevenson and Gavin Bollard by 10 points, Elliott Smith and Daryl Parker ran 2nd with 44 points, in 3rd spot was Travis Bonham and Brett Turner with 43 points.

Sundays 4 Person Ambrose winners was Daniel Finch/Gavin Bollard (PM) Tim Whitley/Wade Bollard (BP) 54, defeated Ron McLaren/Michael Couper(PM) Garry Clifford/Rod Sutton (BP) 55.12.

In the Sports Events the Bowls was a draw, BP won the Pool 2/1, the Darts was a draw as well, BP won the Euchre 3/0, PM won the Table Tennis 2/1
