Our CEO, Ian, would like to officially welcome Matt and Courtney Docking, their daughters Livie and Leah, and new staff Sam Shadbolt, Billy Gleeson, Stephen Wright, and Bec Douglas to Port Macquarie Golf Club.
They officially commence in our Pro Shop today, Monday 2 February 2026.

Dear members,
Courtney and I are very excited to have arrived in Port Macquarie and are looking forward to meeting you all and assisting you in any way we can to help you get greater enjoyment out of your golf and time at the club.
Courtney has a passion for coaching and game development, with outstanding results in introducing women to golf and guiding them through to being confident to play regularly and obtain their handicap. She has personally experienced elite coaching at a number of levels including Queensland Academy of Sport, Australian Institute of Sport, Golf Australia High Performance Squad in addition to having been coached by world class coaches in Ian Triggs and Grant Field. Courtney will lead our junior golf programs, coaching and game development programs and looks forward to getting these underway in the very near future.
I will oversee our golf and retail operations. I love the daily interaction with members and guests and have a great deal of fun making sure that all of your interactions whilst professional are fun and entertaining. I have been an Australian Golf Digest Top 50 Clubfitter between 2019 and 2024. I also have a passion for coaching and developing processes and skills that allow members to achieve their goals in golf through a combination of technique enhancement and ensuring your equipment is fit for purpose.
We will be introducing a Beat the Pro Competition once we have settled in where Courtney and I will take on the field, and the members who better our score will split the prize pool between them. Courtney played on the WPGA and LPGA Symetra Tours recording 9 Top 10 finishes on the LPGA Symetra Tour, including recording 2nd place finishes on both tours. I have a 2nd place finish in the Taiwan PGA Championship in 2011, in addition to having won the Australian PGA Professionals Championship in 2014, 2015, 2017 and 2023, runner up in 2016 and 2024. I was Captain of Team Australia in the 4 Nations Cup held at the Pulpit Club in Toronto in September last year.
Some of our team you will know, Sam Shadbolt will be joining us as our Assistant Professional and Billy Gleeson who is looking to become a PGA Member through the PGA Membership Pathway Program (Traineeship) beginning in 2027.
Stephen Wright and Bec Douglas will be joining us with extensive experience in retail and customer service who are both very keen golfers and both excited to share their passion for the game with you all.
Our stock has begun arriving and we ask that you have patience with us as we build our levels in the coming months. We will be stocking a wide array of equipment from leading manufacturers along with various fashion brands that will cater to a wide variety of tastes. We will be providing clubfitting services with Flightscope technology, club repair, a variety of coaching options utilising video analysis, and ball flight data.
We look forward to meeting you all and assisting you with your golfing needs. We are very much looking forward to being a part of the Port Macquarie Golf Club and always welcoming you all with a smile, making each encounter a friendly and positive experience.
