Following our AGM held Wednesday 22 November 2023, we’re thrilled to share the results of the Board of Directors elections.
Members cast their votes for two Directors positions and the Vice President’s position.
The results are as follows:
Paul Atkin: Elected as Vice President
Belinda Richardson: Re-elected for another 3 years
Steve Manton: Elected for his first term, also serving for 3 years
Our current Board of Directors for 2023/24 is now composed of:
Gavin Roberts: President
Paul Atkins: Vice President
Neil Smith: Captain
Directors and their duties:
Les Murphy: Vice Captain
Nick Ratcliffe: Junior Committee
Fran Scutts: Women’s Vets Committee
Belinda Richardson: Women’s Committee
Steve Manton: Course Chairman
As you may know, Paul Atkins, who was previously a Director, was elected to the position of Vice President, creating a vacancy for another Director.
According to our constitution, the Board can choose not to fill the spot or decide on a replacement.
We will approach this decision with the gravity it deserves, and as directors, we will thoroughly examine it in the upcoming year.
We want to express our gratitude to Lindsay Verdon for his valuable contributions as a Director & Course Chairman over the past 3 years.
As we enter the festive season, with many of you traveling, on behalf of the Board, Management, and staff and of The Port Macquarie Golf Club I would like to wish you safe journeys, a Merry Christmas, and a joyful New Year.
